2022 proved that once again that the cyber threat landscape is as dangerous as ever. New ransomware gangs are appearing and causing havoc, such as Cuba ransomware and Royal ransomware. There are increasing attacks on education, the healthcare field and more critical infrastructure.
Organizations are paying as much as $1,197 per employee to address cyber attacks on their network systems, according to some reports.
The same reports also notes that it has taken an average of 86 hours for organizations to address a cyber incident, which costs time and money.
We’ve seen local governments struggle to respond to cyber attacks that have made dealing with the aftermath a nightmare in terms of recovery and public relations.
