Mandan Public Schools among those hit in nationwide cybersecurity incident

“ Mandan Public Schools reported today an online software system it uses, along with other school districts nationwide, was hit by a “cybersecurity incident” that apparently took place at the end of 2024.“

“The system involved is PowerSchool, a web-based software system used by K-12 schools to help manage student and teacher information and other data. “

“According to a statement from Mandan Public Schools, the North Dakota Information Technology Department is actively working with PowerSchool to investigate what impact, if any, the incident had on school data. “
