Cyberattack Compromises Town Information Technology Network

“Bourne’s Town Information Technology network was compromised in a “cyberattack” on Saturday, January 11, according to a joint public statement released by the Police Department and the town on January 12. “

““The Bourne Police Department and other agencies are actively investigating this as a criminal matter,” the statement reads. “The Town of Bourne, along with partner agencies, are actively investigating the extent and impact of the breach.” “

“All police services and 9-1-1 remain fully functional, and town phone and email services appear unaffected by the breach. “
