Possible cyberattack causes Bella Vista to close offices to public through Tuesday

“The city of Bella Vista, Ark announced its offices would remain closed August 20 as it investigated a possible cybersecurity attack on its network.“

“City Hall, Community Development Services, the District Court, the public library and the Street Department offices were all closed, according to a news release from the city. Employees working remotely will conduct business online and through email as possible. City offices closed Monday due to a lack of internet and phone access after information technology personnel shut down all systems as a precautionary measure, the release states. “

“The police and fire departments can still be reached via the nonemergency phone line to dispatch at (479) 855-3771 or by calling 911 in an emergency, according to the release. “
