“Southeast Vermont Transit’s (SEVT aka The Moover’s) computer network was recently breached.“
“On December 7, 2023, SEVT detected unusual activity on its network. Upon discovery of this incident, the company immediately disconnected all access to the network and promptly engaged a specialized third-party cybersecurity firm to assist with securing the environment, as well as to conduct a comprehensive forensic investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The forensic investigation, which concluded on January 25, 2024, found evidence that some SEVT files were accessed by an unauthorized threat actor, according to a news release from SEVT. “
“Based on the investigation, all present and past staff, their dependents, and demand response riders’ names, address and other personal data were copied by the threat actor. Note that not all information was impacted for each individual. SEVT does not collect medical files for staff or riders. “
