Some NSU data posted on dark web after cyber attack, university confirms

“NSU's external security experts are reported to have confirmed that some NSU data was posted onto the dark web following this incident.“

“Some of the data includes images of personal identification data such as driver's licenses, passports, W-9 forms, and social security numbers. Spreadsheets and letters are also among some of the data posted to the dark web.“

“"NSU IT is working diligently with federal law enforcement and cyber experts to further assess the extent of the data compromised, as well as next steps for its retrieval," said Jennifer Zehnder, Director of NSU's Communications and Marketing department.“
