Middletown to resume water billing in January after cybersecurity incident

“The City of Middletown is delaying its water billing for residents until January 2026, in the aftermath of a cybersecurity incident that impacted services earlier this year.“

“Last week, the city said it was planning to include a 25 percent usage fee on December bills to make up for missed payments but quickly walked that plan back. “

“On Tuesday, Middletown issued another update on the bills, saying there will be no water bills or water shutoffs in December. “
