Fremont City Schools, law enforcement investigating cyber security incident

“Law enforcement are investigating a cyber security incident at Fremont City Schools. “

“According to a statement from superintendent Jon Detweiler on the district's social media page, school leaders learned evening the district's computer network had been accessed by an unauthorized party. “

“District leaders contacted the Fremont Police Department, who connected the school with the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, Detweiler said. The Ohio Cyber Reserves, who operate out of the Ohio National Guard, were also called upon to investigate the incident on-site. “
