“CodeRed by Crisis24 a system used by Craven County as part of its Public Emergency Notifications and Alerts was the victim of a targeted cybersecurity attack that resulted in user data being compromised. The data compromised may contain users name, address, email address, phone numbers, and associated passwords. “
“A press release from Craven County stated that according to representatives from CodeRed by Crisis24 there is no indication this data has been published online; however the possibility exists for it to be leaked in the future. “
“However, Crisis24 has already confirmed to the publisher Government Technology, better known as GovTech, that data tied to the leak was published online by a cyber criminal group. “
