Restoration underway after Glens Falls cybersecurity incident

“Recovery efforts are underway after a network cybersecurity incident this past week in Glens Falls, city officials announced on Monday. The city’s third-party information technology (IT) provider recognized and responded to the cyber event immediately“

“IT technicians were able to quickly identify and contain the issue, but select connections and electronic portals were disabled to guarantee the safety and security of residents and city employees. Officials said that some of the city’s online services may be temporarily suspended while the restoration process continues. “

“All City of Glens Falls offices remain open to the public, and all essential city services and emergency communications are operational. The city stated that further updates will be issued as developments progress. “
