“Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker said nearly all of the $2.7 million stolen during a recent cyber scam will soon be back in the county’s account.“
“The county lost the money after a scammer posed as a representative for a current vendor. Tucker said they’re looking at a possible recovery of $2.2 million.“
“The sheriff added that there does not appear to be any criminal intent from any county employee. “
