City ransomware attack targeted Wichita Police Department, exposing 77,000 case files

“Online services relating to city government in Wichita were put on an extended hold after the cyber security breach. “

“City Manager Bob Layton tells KAKE News that the attack was confined to solely the police department, as the criminals were able to access personnel information in the department’s 77,000 cases on file. “
