“In a letter submitted to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulations, Webster Bank said it learned on Jan. 26 that Guardian Analytics, a third-party vendor that provides fraud detection services to the bank, experienced a “data security incident.” “
“Some 153,754 Connecticut customers were affected — 117,278 of whom had their name and account number exposed, while 36,476 had their name, account number and Social Security numbers exposed, according to the Connecticut Attorney General's Office. “
