Morgan County, Ala., 911 Takes Precautions Amid Cyber Event

“A cyber issue affected the Morgan County 911 center's administrative systems earlier this week, though dispatch functions such as call history, CAD systems, and radio communications were not impacted“

“The center has been taking precautionary steps to ensure the issue did not spread to any other operational systems beyond the administrative ones.“

“The Morgan County Sheriff's Office also reported that, because of the cyber issue, the Morgan County Information Technology department disconnected the 911 system from the Sheriff's Office network as a precaution. “
